As Luxar Laser Operator's Manual indicates, the Luxar laser system is a general surgical instrument used to vaporize, incise, excise, ablate, or photocoagulate soft tissue in surgical procedures in the listed surgical specialties. The surgical laser system may be effectively used for applications recognized as within the accepted indications for use of CO2 laser devices. These must be performed within the listed specialties and required power densities, as calculated by laser power and beam spot size, listed in the power density charts in the User Manual.
According to Luxar Laser Operator's Manual, representative examples of laser-appropriate procedures include: Hemorrhoid removal, skin tag vaporization; pilodidal cyst removal and repair, debridement of decubitus ulcers and statis ulcers; mastectomy, breast biopsy, reduction mammoplasty; cytoreduction for metastatic disease; many dermatological procedures.
